Activities

Workshops: Workshops covering diverse topics such as fashion sketching, glass painting, clothing printing techniques, Caricatures, Eco printing, Athangudi tiles making, Home decor and furnishing, Sewing tricks and techniques, Soap making, Fabric texture (sketching), Fabric printing, Aari embroidery, Calligraphy and faux calligraphy and embroidery are conducted.

Hands -on -Training : Hand-on -training in Aari embroidery, CAD designing, fashion sketching, grooming and styling is being organised. This hands-on approach contributes to the skill development of students.

Intercollegiate Events and activities: The association organizes and participates in intercollegiate events, fostering healthy competition and collaboration among students from different institutions. Students are also encouraged to take part in activities organized by other colleges, providing them with opportunities to interact with a broader community and showcase their talents.

Guest Lectures: The department organizes guest lectures, bringing industry experts to share their insights and experiences. This enriches the learning experience and provides valuable perspectives from professionals in the field. Various lectures on Fashion Journalism, Journey towards success, Soft skill training on communication and interpersonal skills, Bio tech thread- future of industry, Time and moments captured in life- photography, Fashion photography etc was organized for students.

Industry-Institution Interaction: Focusing on collaboration between the industry and the institution, this interaction ensures that students are exposed to real-world practices, industry trends, and potential career paths.

A team of qualified faculty within the department has organized a range of activities. The department extends beyond the confines of the syllabus and curriculum. Besides completing theory and practical syllabus prescribed, the department conducts various activities round the year which keep students motivated to stay engaged in creative and constructive things.
