ELF – Empowering Minds, Enriching Literature

Founded in 2006 as the English Language Forum, the English Literary Forum (ELF) at Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC) has evolved into a dynamic platform dedicated to fostering students’ engagement with the English language through literature. This transformation has ignited a growing appreciation for English among students, encouraging their active participation in various literary activities and initiatives. The forum serves to enhance language skills and critical thinking, while also promoting creativity and intellectual curiosity. Notable efforts include organizing annual international conferences, such as “New Waves in Language and Literature,” hosting creative writing workshops in collaboration with Silver Tongue, and facilitating inter-collegiate competitions like “El-Fiesta.” Additionally, special events like “Zhagarlish” celebrated the college’s silver jubilee, uniting all language departments, while guest lectures by esteemed authors and the publication of Elf o’ nik Echoes showcase the literary talents of students. Through these initiatives, ELF continues to inspire and empower students, enriching their educational experience and fostering a vibrant literary community.

The Department of Languages commits to nurturing students’ development by encouraging creativity, enhancing skills, and showcasing hidden talents. The following events aid students in gaining a profound understanding of language and culture.
